Mr. Ronald Dempsey, age 66 of Cedartown, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2013. He was born on March 3, 1947 in Rome, Georgia. He was the son of Author and Myrtle Norris Dempsey.

Mr. Dempsey is survived by his wife, Sherry Corn Dempsey; sons and daughters-in-law, Danny Dempsey and Lisa, Dwayne Dempsey and Debbie and Darrell Dempsey and Melinda; sister, Elmyra Davis; brother, Paul Dempsey; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mr. Dempsey is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Donald Dempsey, Harold Dempsey and Frank Dempsey.

A graveside service for Mr. Dempsey will be conducted on Friday, November 8, 2013 at one o'clock in the afternoon in the family lot of the Sanders Cemetery with Rev. Robert Boatner officiating. Interment will follow in the Sanders Cemetery.

The family of Mr. Dempsey will receive family and friends on Thursday, November 7, 2013 from six o'clock in the evening until nine o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Richard Corn, Tracy Westmoreland, Brian Westmoreland, Jeremy LuAllen, Barry Dowda, Kerry Eason and Jarred Dempsey.
