Mr. Roger Lovett Marty, age 59, of Aragon, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2011. He was born on November 4, 1951; he was the son of the late Rev. and Mrs. Royal J. and Ruth Lovett Marty, Sr.

Mr. Marty was a retired veteran of the United States Navy.

Mr. Marty worked as an automotive manager at Richway for many years; he also had his own business that was called Raffadillious, and there he made and worked on many projects such as candle making, making jewelry and woodworking.

Mr. Marty and his family also assisted in building the Ala Lani United Methodist Church in Maui Hawaii.

Mr. Marty is survived by his loving wife and best friend Susan B. Marty; brothers, Rob Marty and wife Wendy and Royal J. Marty, Jr. and wife Kathy; two nieces, Meghan Elizabeth Marty and Merissa Suzanne Marty and three nephews, Mason Marty, Robbie Marty and Royal Lanier Marty.

Mr. Marty is preceded in death by his parents; two children, Dakota Marty and Sam Marty; sister, Lily Kho from Singapore and brother, Rev. Lindy Loresco from McAllen, Texas.

In keeping with Mr. Marty's wishes he was cremated. A memorial service for Mr. Marty will be held on Thursday, June 9 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home. The Brewster-Cleveland Post 86 Honor Guard will perform military rites at the funeral home at the conclusion of the memorial service.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
