Robyn Angela "Angie" Holland Hooker was born on March 11, 1961, to the parents Charles and Margaret Holland.

Shortly after her birth the family moved to a new home on Tuck Street where she would spend her entire childhood. Happy times, good friends, and lifelong friendships followed.

A natural tomboy, the adjacent dirt road and wooded areas provided the perfect opportunity for childhood adventures. Cousins on both sides of the family completed her circle of peers, with cousin Greg Swafford becoming the brother she would never have, and Aunt Lettie Swafford becoming a second mother and lifelong soulmate.

Angie graduated from Cedartown High School, class of 1979, and married Don Woods from Rockmart, producing two children. Matthew Woods and his wife Chrissy live in Carrollton with their daughter Kahlan Berenak (age 9). Daughter Madison Woods lives in Villa Rica, with her precious daughter Adelynn Rae (age 2).

Angie was married to James Hooker, formerly of California, June 2002, and they reside in Carrollton, Georgia. Their daughter Alexa (age 15) is an excellent student at Central High School, and is a member of the Color Guard in their band.

Angie's travels involved several states, including many trips to California to visit her sister, Alicia Holland and her husband Dr. Kenneth Puryear, who reside in Visalia, California. She was often joined by sister Jane Frew, who lives in Cedartown with her husband Vance Frew. Her favorite trips probably involved a visit to a casino.

Her mother's daughter, she loved nothing better than driving around searching for yard sales.

Angie passed away after a lengthy and bravely fought battle with breast cancer. Family and friends, particularly the group of women lovingly referred to as "The Magnolias" joined her during this struggle, led by the efforts of her dearest friend Wannetta Beck. Last June she was blessed beyond measure when her caretaker Joanie Jones arrived on the scene and proved beyond a doubt that there truly are earthly angels.

Even as our hearts grieve, we celebrate the remarkable woman who faced every challenge with courage, bravery, and a heart full of love. We know she has gone on to join so many loved ones who have passed before her, including grandparents, her Mom and Dad, and a nephew Alan Moore.

The funeral arrangements for Mrs. Robyn Angela "Angie" Holland Hooker will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at one o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Mr. Kyle Beck officiating.

The family of Mrs. Hooker will receive family and friends on Saturday, February 24, 2018 from eleven o'clock in the morning until the funeral hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The body will be cremated after the funeral service.
