Mr. Robert W. Plaskett, Jr., age 68, of Cedartown, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016 following a lengthy illness. Mr. Plaskett was born December 3, 1947, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Robert W. Plaskett, Sr. and Helen Equels Plaskett.

Mr. Plaskett is preceded in death by both of his parents, and granddaughter, Elizabeth Marie Plaskett.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Kathleen Raney Plaskett, daughter, Darcy Plaskett, sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Tracy Plaskett, Duane Plaskett and Chrissy Morris, Justin and Kimberly Plaskett, and Jeremiah and Elise Plaskett; granddaughters are Kylee Brianna Plaskett and Amelia Dagny Plaskett and a grandson due in October. Mr. Plaskett has one sister, Robin Comer and a cousin, Janice (Ollie) Capshaw, both of Indianapolis. Extended family dear to Robert's heart include Shannon Cobb, Michael Sanchez and Victor and Nicole Zepeda along with their two children, Julian and Josefina.

The family of Mr. Plaskett will receive family and friends on Saturday, September 24, 2016 from six o'clock in the evening until eight o'clock at Gammage Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at one o'clock in the afternoon in the Chapel of Gammage Funeral Home, with interment following in Oak Grove Community Cemetery. Christopher Broderick, Chris Cassar, Rodney Curtis, Randy Davis, Bobby Goodson, Joey Gunnels, David Raney, and Todd Wright will serve as pallbearers.
