Mr. Richard Lee (Lefty) Pryor, Sr. age 80, of Cedartown, passed into God's Kingdom on Sunday, January 24, 2010. He was born October 18, 1929 in Akron, Ohio to parents, the late Myron Pryor and Lillian May Salenday Pryor. Sister, Donna Crookston and brother, Ronald Pryor, also precede him in death.

Mr. Pryor was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War where he was awarded the Silver Star for valor.

He was a retiree of Goodyear Aerospace in Akron, Ohio with thirty-two years of service.

Mr. Richard Lee Pryor, Sr. is remembered warmly by everyone that knew him. He is survived by wife, Delores Jean Foster Pryor of fifty-eight years; son, Richard Pryor, Jr. and wife, Penny, of Cedartown; daughter, Diana Price and Lyn Worley of Ohio; brothers, Myron Pryor of Michigan and Harold Pryor of Akron, Ohio. Three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

In keeping with Mr. Pryor's wishes, he was cremated.

A service memorializing Mr. Pryor's life will be held on Wednesday, January 27th at four o'clock at the Silver Creek Methodist Church, Reeceburg Road, Silver Creek, Georgia with Rev. Thomas Bowen officiating.

Mr. Pryor's cremains will then be taken to Ohio where a Memorial Service will be conducted at the Suffield Fellowship in Suffield, Ohio.

Committal of ashes will be in Restland Cemetery in Brimfield, Ohio.
