Mr. Richard Scott Duke, Sr., 50, of Rockmart, Georgia passed away suddenly on November 29, 2008. He was born January 23, 1957 in Polk County.

Family members surviving are wife, Mrs. Janice Chambers Duke; daughter, Amanda Weaver; son, Richard Scott Duke, Jr.; parents, Richard Bruce and Beverly Ann Cash Duke; sisters, Kay Wilkey, Cheryl Chupp, Pam Bowers; brother, Jeff Duke. Grandchildren, Cassidy Duke, Macee Duke, and Tyler Duke also survive.

The funeral service for Mr. Richard Scott Duke, Sr. will be conducted on Sunday, December 2 at 2:00 p.m. at Benedict Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Chambers and Rev. Trey Chambers officiating. The body will lie in state at the Gammage Funeral Home until the funeral hour.

Interment will be at Polk Memory Gardens with Rev. Barry Snapps officiating.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 1 from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Jeff Duke, Chesley Chambers, Douglas Chambers, Donald Ray Baldwin, Greg Mason, and Danny Ashley. Honorary pallbearers are Ricky Bowers, Randall Chupp, Doug Wilkey, and Joey Moore.
