Mr. Raydon W. Jones, age 76, of Cedartown, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2011. He was born on April 15, 1934, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert and Mildred Godwin Jones.

Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Barbara Jones; son, Tony Jones; sister and brother-in-law, Juanita and Larry Davis; brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Shirley Jones; grandchildren, John Paul and Candy Jones, Brittany Jones and Rachel Jones and seven great-grandchildren.

Mr. Jones is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert and Mildred Godwin Jones; daughter, Barbara Elizabeth Jones and sister, Jewell Sloman.

The funeral service for Mr. Raydon Jones will be conducted on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at two o'clock in the afternoon at the West Rome Baptist Church, with Rev. Jarrod Roberts and Rev. Larry Davis officiating. Mr. Jones will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.

Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery, in Cedartown.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Dorman Peterson, Dennis Sloman, Jeff Jones, Barry Davis, Derius Jones, John Paul Jones and Kyle Jones.

Honorary pallbearers will be Hoyt Worthington, Hughey Cline, Bill Ayers, Al Hardin, James Kelley and Don Bennett.
