Mr. Ralph William Heath, age 83, of Cedartown, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2012. He was born on October 12, 1928 in Cedartown. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul and Ruth Bell Heath.
Mr. Ralph William Heath served in the United States Air Force from 1945-1947. Mr. Heath was a member of Mountain Home Baptist Church. Ralph was employed by the Polk School District for 27 years as a school bus driver. Mr. Ralph owned Red Top Cab Company and Heath Scrap Metal Company, and there he worked with his brother Bobby. Ralph also enjoyed his children, grandchildren, fishing and traveling.
Mr. Heath is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mrs. Joyce Ann Robinson Heath; daughters and son-in-law, Deborah Peace and husband Steve Peace and Catherine Silvey; son and daughter-in-law, Lee Williams and wife Amy; daughter-in-law, Pam Holland; brothers, Bobby Heath and Billy Heath; sisters, Shirley Landers, Faye Maddox, Joyce Turner, Vivian Preston and Marvene Forrister; also surviving are grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mr. Heath is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Barbara Morris; sister, Gladys Eves; brother, Harvey Heath and son, Dennis Holland.
The funeral arrangements for Mr. Ralph William Heath will be conducted on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at two o'clock in the afternoon in the Gammage Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Anthony Trawick and Rev. Tim Cole officiating.
Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery will full military rites.
The family of Mr. Heath will receive family and friends on Saturday, March 24, 2012 from five o'clock in the afternoon until nine o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.
The family is accepting flowers; however, donations can be made to Mountain Home Baptist Church Building Fund, 165 Mountain Home Loop, Cedartown, GA 30125.
The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers; Lee Williams, Justin Williams, Jeremy Holland, Steve Peace, Steve Peace Jr., Mike Peace, Randy Robinson and Jerome Heath.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mountain Home Baptist Church Men's Sunday School Class, Bobby Heath, Steve Manning, Carson Holland and Gracyn Williams.
