Mr. Porter Clyde Grimes, age 82, of Cedartown, Georgia passed away on Friday, January 29, 2010. He was born August 1, 1927 in Polk County, Georgia.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954 and was employed at Georgia Kraft-Inland for 34 years.

Mr. Grimes is survived by wife, Marie McDonald Grimes; daughter & son-in-law, Beverly & Chuck Morgan of Cedartown; son, Randy Grimes of Cumming, Ga; granddaughters and grandsons-in-laws, Heather & Jason Hutchins of Rincon, Ga and Machelle & Joey Crawford of Cedartown; great grandchildren, Madison Crawford and Adrian Hutchins. Three nieces and one nephew also survive.

He is preceded in death by parents, Roy Owen Grimes & Agnes Dollar Grimes; and sister, Gladys Grimes Williams.

The funeral service for Mr. Grimes will be held on Sunday, January 31, 2010, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Olin L. Gammage & Sons Funeral Home with Mr. Roy Mauldin officiating. Interment will follow in Northview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 31, 2010 for 2 hours prior to the funeral service from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home.

Jason Hutchins, Joey Crawford, Kip Williams, Brett Pirkle, David Wright, and Joe Morgan will serve as pallbearers.
