Mrs. Phyllis Diane Salmon, age 63 of Rockmart, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2019.  She was born on February 8, 1956 in Weaver, Alabama.  She was the daughter of the late Dee William and Nina Mae Waller Cheeks.

Mrs. Salmon is survived by her daughters, Beverly Reed, Melody Cheeks, Trina Cheeks and Marie Salmon; sister, Rosa Welchel; 16 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Salmon is preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Salmon; sisters, Dora A. Henderson and Mildred Cheeks; and brothers, Kittrell Wayne Cheeks, George William Cheeks, Mac Vernon Cheeks, and J.W. Biddle.

In keeping with Mrs. Salmon's wishes, she was cremated.  A memorial service for Mrs. Phyllis Diane Salmon will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at eight o'clock in the evening in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Reed officiating.

The family of Mrs. Salmon will receive family and friends on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 from six o'clock in the evening until the memorial service hour at the Gammage Funeral Home, and at other times at 122 George West Road, Cedartown, GA 30125.
