Phillip W. Ashmore, age 76, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026, surrounded by his loving Family.  He was born on June 21, 1949 in Cedartown.  He was the son of the late Carl Ashmore and Lucille Bedford Ashmore.

Phillip, known as PA to his friends, graduated from Shorter College in 1978. He served as assistant vice president of First National Bank for over 20 years. He was a member of the 1967 Cedartown High School State Tournament basketball team. He enjoyed going to the beach, cooking, solitaire, and weekend trips to the mountains. Gramps was a man of great faith and loved being with his Family most of all.

Mr. Ashmore is survived by his loving wife of over 58 years, Beverly Dingler Ashmore; sons, Greg Ashmore (Jennifer), Brent Ashmore and Ryan Ashmore (Leah); sister, Sandra Baldwin (Charles); grandchildren, Taylor Ashmore Swymer (Matt), Lauren Ashmore, Garrett Ashmore (Hope), Sam Ashmore, Sarah Ashmore, Ryder Ashmore, Marlee Ashmore, Penelope Ashmore and Gabriella Ashmore; great-grandchildren, Harrison Swymer, Julian Ashmore and Oliver Swymer. Several other extended family members also survive.

Mr. Ashmore is preceded in death by his parents.

The funeral service for Mr. Ashmore will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026 at two o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Olin L Gammage & Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Doyle Kelley and  Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating with loving family members offering eulogies. Interment will follow in the Ashmore Family lot of Northview Cemetery.

The family of Mr. Ashmore will receive family and friends on Monday, June 15, 2026 from one o'clock in the afternoon until the funeral service hour at the Olin L Gammage & Sons Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Greg Ashmore, Brent Ashmore, Ryan Ashmore, Ryder Ashmore, Garrett Ashmore and Matt Swymer.
