Mr. Phillip Wayne Andrews, age 75, of Cedartown, Georgia passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 25, 1941. He was the son of the late William "Bill" and Burtys Bridges Andrews.
Wayne was a member of Lake Creek Baptist Church. He was co-owner along with his sons, Kam and Tab, of the family business, Andrews Tire and Wrecker Company. In his earlier years of employment, he served as a fireman at the Cedartown Fire Department. Throughout his life, Wayne met every soul, whether they be a stranger or a friend, with a smile and a sense of joy and would do anything for them no matter the time or task.
Mr. Andrews is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Glenda Andrews; sons and daughter-in-laws, Kam and Cathy Andrews and Tab and Julie Andrews; grandchildren, Kamlyn Andrews, Wes Andrews, Ridge and Kayla Andrews, and Julieann Andrews; sister, Billie-Jean Brock; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Andrews is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Dicky Andrews, Larry Andrews, Tommy Andrews, and Michael Galloway.
The funeral service for Mr. Wayne Andrews will be conducted on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 11 o'clock in the morning in the Chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Snapp, Rev. Robert Boatner, and Mr. Bill Lundy officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery.
The family of Mr. Andrews will receive family and friends on Monday, December 12, 2016 from 6 o'clock until 9 o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Danny Wiggins, Bobby Smith, Tony Gravett, Mike Isbell, Harland Moody, Randy Robinson, Phil Smith, Chet Cleland, Kenneth McBride, and Shawn Williams.
Numerous men and women will serve as honorary pallbearers including: Cedartown City Police and Fire Departments, EMS, and Polk County Volunteer Fire Department.
