Mr. Paul Bowman, age 86 of Smyrna, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2015. He was born on September 16, 1928, in Cedartown, Georgia.

He was career military having proudly served in the United States Army during both the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He retired from the military as a Staff Sergeant after 20+ years of service. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved watching his grandson play baseball.

Mr. Bowman is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Martha Jane Bowman of Smyrna; 3 children: Ronnie Bowman of Smyrna, Pamela (Jim) Brewer of Douglasville, Rhonda Bowman Turner of Marietta; brother, Hershel Wright of Cedartown: 4 grandchildren; Kristen, Tyler, Casey, Marlee and 2 great grandchildren; Avery and Harper (and baby Jaxson on the way).

The family will receive friends at the West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta on Sunday, February 22, 2015 from 5:00 until 8:00 in the evening.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Olin L. Gammage & Sons Funeral Home in Cedartown from 12:00 until the funeral hour. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Gammage Funeral Home with internment to follow in Northview Cemetery.
