Mr. Patrick Andrew Cain, age 69, of Cedartown, Georgia passed away Thursday, March 18, 2010. He was born September 21, 1940 in Floyd County, the son of Alfred Monroe Cain and Ozell Dooley Cain (both deceased).
Mr. Cain was a retiree from the Polk County Road Department and a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the Caledonia Masonic Lodge #121.
Mr. Pat Cain is survived by wife, Marie Queen Cain; daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Kevin Marks, Sharon and Tony Morrow, Anita and Tracey Westmoreland; sisters, Lillian Ballard and husband, Tommy; and Vicky Cain. He is also survived by grandchildren, Dustin Merritt, Dylan Merritt, Katie Marks ; one great grandchild, Hope Johnson; A number of nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles.
The funeral service for Mr. Patrick Andrew Cain will be conducted on Sunday, March 21st, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Dr. DeWayne New and Dr. Robert Wright officiating.
Interment will be in Polk Memory Gardens.
Masonic burial rites will be conducted by Caledonia Lodge #121 and West Georgia Memorial Club.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 20th, from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Dustin Merritt, Dylan Merritt, Ray Evans, Larry Dooley, Stanley Cain, David Cain, Preston Cain, Kenneth Cain.
Honorary pallbearers are Ben Moody, Brian Ballard, Tom Ballard, Bruce Ballard, Tony Landrum.
Flowers are being accepted; however, donations may be made to New Harmony Baptist Church, P. O. Box 871, Cedartown, GA 30125.
