Mr. Oscar "Buddy" Winslett, age 84, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025. He was born on March 9, 1941 in Oneonta, Alabama. He was the son of the late Cliff and Louise Richardson Winslett.

Mr. Winslett is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jeanette Hamrick Winslett; sons, Genile Winslett (Felicia) and Jeff Winslett (Tammy); grandchildren, Kaelin Winslett (Amber) and Kaci Gilham (Brandon) and great-grandchildren, Ansley, Braylee, Klaus and Karoline.

Mr. Winslett is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Glenda Cantrell and Barbara Jean Winslett.

A graveside service for Mr. Winslett will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025 at four o'clock in the afternoon in the family lot at Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery with Rev. John Redding and Rev. Michael Anderson officiating.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Larry Wells, James Hamrick, Glenn Hamrick, Barry Hamrick, Glenn Vinson, Tommy Hughes, Brandon Gilham and Rick Nance.  Honorary pallbearer will be Robert Hamrick.
