Obituary

Mrs. Opal Amelia Pope, age 65, of Cedartown passed away Sunday, July 26, 2009. She was born May 16, 1944 in Polk County, GA, the daughter of the late Aubrey Ingram & Ruby Newberry Ingram.

Mrs. Pope is survived by her husband, Paul Wesley Pope; daughters and son-in-law, Sissy & Greg Mason, Gail Allen; sons and daughter-in-law, Lavon & Kathy Pope, Robin & Jane Pope, Chris & Julia Pope; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sisters, Elaine Cagle, Teresa Bradford, Peggy Highfield; brothers, Johnny Ingram, Gary Ingram, Jr. Ingram, and Forrest Ingram. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Pope is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Annie Mae Davenport.

The funeral service for Mrs. Pope will be conducted on Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Bennett and Rev. David Pilgrim officiating. Interment will follow in Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery.

The visitation for family and friends will on Monday July 27, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for Mrs. Opal Amelia Pope.
