Mrs. Opal Brown Easterwood, age 85, of Cedartown passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2012. She was born April 6, 1927 in Yorkville, GA, the daughter of the late Earnest Brown and Ila Austin Brown.

Mrs. Easterwood is survived by daughter, Tammy Owens and her husband, Joy; son, David Easterwood all of Cedartown; grandchildren, Wil Easterwood of Nashville, TN, Wes Easterwood of Dawsonville, GA, Joy Leigh Owens of Cedartown, Dave Owens of Acworth, GA, Drew Owens of Ellijah, GA.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, J. W. Brown and Donald Brown.

The funeral service for Mrs. Opal Easterwood will be conducted on Sunday, September 2nd, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Dr. Steve Fetkenhour and Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating. Interment will be in Northview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 2nd, from 1:00 – 3:00 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Dave Owens, Drew Owens, Wes Easterwood, Wil Easterwood, Dennis Pledger,
J. W. Owens, and Rodney Wolfe.

The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for Mrs. Opal Brown Easterwood.
