Mr. Olan B. Hampton, age 72, of Cantonment, Florida, formerly of Cedartown passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2010. He was born June 19, 1937 in Rome, Georgia, son of John Wilburn Hampton and Jewell Bowman Hampton.

Mr. Hampton was a veteran of the United States Navy.

Mr. Olan Hampton is survived by wife, the former Julia Ferguson. They had six children, Timothy Wayne Hampton, Daniel Hampton, John Hampton, Robert Hampton, Sgt. Sam Hampton USMC, and Jenny Dobay. He is also survived by a sister, Eunice Boyd and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Olan Hampton is preceded in death by son, Timothy Wayne Hampton; parents, John and Jewell Hampton; his twin brother, Nolan Hampton and brother, James Hampton.

A graveside service and burial for Mr. Olan B. Hampton will be conducted on Tuesday, March 9th, at 3:00 p.m. at Oakgrove Cemetery with Dr. DeWayne New officiating.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 8th, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home.
