Mr. Norman K. Staley, Sr., age 81 of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.  He was born on August 21, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri.   He was the son of the late Louie Earl and Hazel Norene Hess Staley.

Mr. Staley was a United States Veteran of the Air Force and stationed in Cross City, Florida for three years and 9 months. He was a member since 1986 of the Cedartown Congregational Holiness Church.

Mr. Staley was a former Fire Chief in Cross City, Florida, and a volunteer Fireman and EMT.  He opened and ran Badcock Furniture store here in Cedartown for many years; he loved any kind of carpentry work, he was just a "Jack of all Trades!"

Mr. Staley is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Carolyn H Staley; children, Keith Staley (Shelly) and Deanna Roberts (Leslie); grandchildren, Katelyn Staley (Joseph), Shelby Staley, and Dustin Roberts; and great-grandchildren, Kaydence Staley and Chloe Hulsey.

Mr. Staley is preceded in death by his parents; and two infant children.

The funeral arrangements for Mr. Staley will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023 at three o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Willingham and Rev. Wayne Smith officiating.   Interment will follow in the Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery with full Military Rites conducted by the Brown-Wright Post 12 American Legion.

The family of Mr. Staley will receive family and friends on Friday, November 10, 2023 from one o'clock in the afternoon until the funeral hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.
