Mrs. Nellie Jo Gray, Age 79 of Cleveland, Tennessee; formerly of Cedartown passed away; Tuesday, July 26, 2005. She was born on March 23, 1926 to the late James Tillery and Mattie Rodgers Tillery in Polk County, Georgia.
Mrs. Gray is preceded in death by her parents; 1st husband, Preston Welchel, Sr. and three children, Dyviel Welchel, Preston Welchel, Jr. and Bill Welchel, and husband, Mike Gray and fifteen siblings.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Parrise and Perry Ingram, of Cleveland Tennessee; and daughter, Rita Jones of Oldfort, Tennessee; grandchildren, Larry Stevison, Wendi Bishop, Drew Ingram, Dakkota Baker, Todd Welchel, Timmy Welchel, Bill Welchel, Jayme Welchel, and Mandy Baker; fifteen great grandchildren; Also surviving one brother, Howard Tillery of Cedartown; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 29th from 7:00PM until 9:00PM at the Gammage Funeral Home.
The funeral service for Ms. Nellie Jo Gray will be conducted on Saturday, July 30th at 11:00AM at Friendly Baptist Church in Cedartown with the Rev. R. B. Hulsey officiating. Interment will follow in the New Harmony Baptist Church cemetery.
Pallbearers are: Todd Welchel, Bill Welchel, Jamie Welchel, Larry Stevison, Drew Ingram, Jeff Bishop.
