Obituary

Ms. Myrtle Louise Williams Lockridge, age 91, of Cedartown, passed away on Monday, November 26, 2012. She was born on July 29, 1921 in Haig, Alabama. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William J. and Katie Kines Williams.

Ms. Lockridge was a long time member of The Church of God where she served as a Sunday School teacher for over 40 years and was also in the church choir.

Ms. Lockridge is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Larry McCain; son and daughter-in-law, Preston and Wendy Lockridge; sister, Boots Gillam; sisters-in-law, Betty Thompson and Frances Landers; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Ms. Lockridge is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Perry Wilson Lockridge, Sr.; son and daughter-in-law, Perry Wilson Lockridge, Jr. and Beverly Lockridge; brothers, Don Williams, Bobby Williams and Jack Williams; sister, Agnes Juanita Williams White; sister, Ruby Lockridge and grandson, Scotty Lockridge.

The funeral arrangements for Ms. Lockridge will be conducted on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at three o'clock in the afternoon at The Church of God with Pastor John Moates, Pastor Delton Harne and Pastor Randy Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery.

The family of Ms. Lockridge will receive family and friends on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 from seven o'clock in the evening until nine o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.

Ms. Lockridges' grandson's will serve as pallbearers; Tommy Lockridge, Jeff McCain, Jason McCain, Kevin Watters, John Miller, Josh Tucker and Chris Tucker and in loving memory Mr. Scotty Lockridge. Honorary pallbearers will be Ms. Lockridges' great-grandchildren.
