MSG Stuart Paul Binger, beloved husband, brother, uncle and friend is resting now at God's side. Born in Buffalo, New York on July 10, 1947 Stuart left us too soon on Monday, January 8, 2007 in Rome, Georgia. Mourning his loss are his devoted wife Carol, sisters Sherry Worton and Stacey Stafford, mother and father-in-law Bob and Mary Jo Gardner, and their extended families.
Stuart had a distinguished 35-year military career serving in campaigns from Vietnam through Afghanistan as a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army Special Forces (Airborne). For the last 8 years he has been actively involved in training his fellow countrymen for armed conflict in the Middle East, winning accolades for his professionalism and courage. His numerous awards and citations are only surpassed by his camaraderie with his fellow troops. An avid outdoorsman who eagerly shared his knowledge and love of the outdoors with all of his many friends and family, Stuart will be deeply missed by all.
Friends are invited to join in a celebration of his life at his home, 432 Melson Road, Cave Spring, on Thursday, January 11th at 6:00p.m. A memorial Mass will be held at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church, Cedartown, on Friday, January 12th at 11:00a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Stuart's name can be made to the Samaritan House, Cedartown.
