Mrs. Miriam Elizabeth Ritch Johnson, age 87 of Bremen passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2006. She was born on September 13, 1918 in Anniston, Alabama.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Johnson, son, Joe Johnson, parents, J.D. Ritch and Cordie Anne Isom Ritch, granddaughter, Bridgett Welchel and great grandson, Nicholas Lee Johnson.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by daughters, Frances Sheckel, Janice Welchel, Carol Green and Barbra Woody; sons, Hubert Johnson, Grady Johnson, Bobby Johnson, James Johnson and Terry Johnson; sister, Dorothy Lafferty and brother, Vernon Ritch. Also surviving are 27 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.

The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, April 29th at 2:00PM in the Chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Dr. Paul Allen Ritch and Rev. Larry Ritch officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends Friday, April 28th from 6:00PM until 9:00PM at Gammage Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Frankie Johnson, Johnny Johnson, Daniel Johnson, Rodney Johnson, Todd Barry and Wess LeFurgey. Honorary Pallbearers are Michael Johnson, Richard Johnson, Joey Johnson, Alan Johnson, Jeff Johnson, Joe Johnson, Alex Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Brian Davis, Scott Davis, Derrick Barry, Eddie Welchel, Ricky Welchel, Gregg Welchel and Jeff LeFurgey.
