Obituary

Mrs. Mildred Mozelle Collins Wright, age 92, of Cedartown passed away Monday, November 12, 2012. She was born April 11, 1920, the daughter of the late Thomas Adgie Collins and Essie Ophelia Morris Collins.

Mrs. Wright was a long-time member of Pine Bower Baptist Church and the Senior Adult Sunday School Class.

Mrs. Wright retired from Dorsey Manufacturing Co. in Tallapoosa. She later worked at Ideal Bakery pleasing her Cedartown friends with mouth-watering deserts.

Mrs. Wright was a loving Mother and Maw-Maw. Her family has wonderful memories of her being a fantastic cook, seamstress, and gardener. She actually won the Cedartown Garden Club's prestigious award of "Yard of the Month" on two occasions.

Mrs. Mozelle Wright is preceded in death by husband, J. L. "Jay" Wright; great-granddaughter, Ashley N. Wright; sister, Marion C. Truett; brothers, Morris T. Collins, Sr., Hubert L. Collins.

She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Janice Wright Bowen and Jim Bowen; sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy Wright and Anne Wright, Thomas Jerry Wright and Annette Wright; sister-in-law, Mary Collins of Anniston, AL, Daisy Wright Thorp; brother-in-law, Herschel Wright. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service for Mrs. Mozelle Wright will be conducted on Thursday, November 15th, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Barry McCullough, Rev. Billy Frazier, and Ret. Colonel Larry Odom officiating. The interment service, conducted by Rev. Brad Shellhorse, will follow in the family plot at Greenwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 14th, from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are her Grandsons, Mark Parkinson, Tony Wright, Jimmy Morris Wright, Sr., Scott Wright, Brent Wright, and Nephew, Morris Collins, Jr.

The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for Mrs. Mildred Mozelle Collins Wright.
