Mrs. Mildred Lucille Clay, age 89 of Cedartown, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2016. She was born on April 27, 1927 in Cedartown, Ga.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Clay; parents, William Carter and Laura Bell Dunn Carter; sister, Sara Queen; and half brothers, Tommy Carter and Benny Carter.

Mrs. Clay is survived by her nieces, Marie Cain, Janette Steele, Glenda Gable and Connie woods; nephews, Leonard Queen and Wayne Queen. Several great and great-great nieces and nephews also survive.

In accordance with Mrs. Clay's wishes she was cremated and a graveside memorial service will be conducted on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at one o'clock in the afternoon at Northview Cemetery with family and friends.
