Michael Hulsey age 65 passed away on Monday, August 31, 2026, at his home in Cedartown, Georgia. He was born on October 19, 1960, in Polk County to the late Leroy Hulsey and Edna Folsom.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Diane Lee and sister Deborah Wharton.

Michael took great pride in his four children and two grandchildren. He took every opportunity to share their accomplishments and saved every photo. He was a homebody and a social butterfly at the same time. You could often find him sitting on his front porch, his front door was always open for a visit and friendly conversation. He was a sharp dresser with a sharp wit. Some of his favorite things included cigarettes, canned Coca Cola, a plain sandwich, a McDonalds hamburger, country music, the Atlanta Braves, and a four-wheel drive truck for deer hunting. He was a simple man. He attended Church every day in his home, with his television streaming sermons and Gospel music. Michael loved his family. He loved the Lord. Despite health issues and illness, he loved his life. Now he is beginning his eternal life in the presence of the Lord. He is made well and whole, experiencing the fullness of God's grace and glory.

Survivors include his four children Deanna Hulsey-Rader (Derrick), Lindsey Hulsey, Nathan Hulsey (Mitzi), Ashley Hulsey, two grandchildren Abigail Hulsey and Allison Hulsey, his sister Melody (Manuel) Guzman, his brother Tony (Karen) Hulsey, and several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with his wishes, his body was cremated. A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
