Mrs. Melinda Ruth King, age 61, of Cedartown GA, passed away on August 25h, 2026. She was born in Rockmart, Georgia on September 28, 1964 to the late Luther J. Jackson and Annie Ruth Nale Womack.

Mrs. King is preceded in death by her parents and spouse David Leslie.

She is survived by her 2 daughters, Ashli Victoria (David Cordiero), Shannon Bertles, 1 son, Dewayne Bertles, 3 sisters, Donna Chandler, April Roloff (Brandon), Rebekah Womack, 3 brothers, Joseph Womack, Jacob Womack, and Aaron Womack, and 2 grandchildren, Alissa Lynn Bertles, and Shelbi Saleen Bertles. She also cared deeply for her 2 fur babies Lucy and Bella.

In keeping with her wishes, her body was cremated.

A memorial service will be held in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home on Thursday August 27th at 6:00 pm. The family will receive family and friends for 1 hour prior to the service. Rev. John and Rev. Joe Redding will officiate the memorial service.
