Ms. Mary L. Vance Colson, age 69 of Marietta, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2016. She was born on November 15, 1946 in McDowell, Kentucky.

Mary Colson was a Mother of three and a mom to many more. She was GranGran to four and grandmother to every child she met. She was a friend, a confidante, and counselor to everyone that she encountered. Her Love of God was evident in all she did and the life she lived – to her last breath - is a testament to her spirit, her inner strength and her resilience. Her ever-enduring legacy will be the influence, compassion, and charity that she gave easily and willingly.

Ms. Colson is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer L. Little and Tres; sons and daughter-in-laws, Jonathan and Deborah Leifheit and Jeremy and Leanne Leifheit; sisters, Judy Vance, Cathy Pratt and Teresa Smith; brothers, Danny Vance, Jesse Vance, Jr., John Floyd and George Glenn and grandchildren, Gavin Leifheit, Jacob Leifheit, John Leifheit and Gigi Little.

Ms. Colson is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Colson; mother, Rose Anderson Floyd; father, Jesse James Vance, Jr.; parents, Clarence and Elymas Olson; sister, Cindy Blackburn and brother, Ricky Floyd.

In keeping with Ms. Mary L. Colson's wishes' she was cremated. A memorial service for her will be conducted on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at four o'clock in the afternoon at Woodstock Community Church, 237 Rope Mill Road, Woodstock, GA 30188.

The family of Ms. Colson will receive family and friends on Thursday, June 16, 2016 from one o'clock in the afternoon until the memorial service hour at the Woodstock Community Church.
