Mrs. Mary Elizabeth "Topie" Bowen, age 90, of Cedartown passed away on Friday, July 13, 2007. She was born on November 16, 1916 in Polk County.

Mrs. Bowen is preceded in death by her parents John B. & Louanna Peterson, her husband Rev. Jack Andrew Bowen, sister Vivian Cooper, and brothers Everette Peterson, Edward Peterson, and Johnny Peterson. She is survived by her Daughter & Son in Law Jackie and David Stringer, Grandson Andy Stringer, Sister Hazel Barrett of Douglasville, Brother Herbert Peterson of Jonesboro, along with several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Mrs. Bowen will be conducted on Monday July 16, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Barrett officiating. Interment will follow in Northview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday July 15, from 6:00 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Olin L. Gammage & Sons Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are David Barrett, Mark Earley, Ricky Erickson, David Erickson, Richard Stringer, and Dale Roberts.
