Mary Lou Quinton, age 82, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2014. She was born on December 27, 1931 in Morgan, Alabama to the late Raymond A. Mitchell, Sr. and Viola Elrod Mitchell.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Lipscomb (James Earl); brother, Jerry Mitchell; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; 1 step great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Ms. Quinton is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl E. Quinton and James Thomas Ward Sr.; son, James Ward Jr.; sisters, Zelle Whittaker, Barbara Minor, Janice Mitchell, Dean Bohannon, Ruth Sharp; and brother, Raymond A. Mitchell, Jr.

The funeral arrangements for Ms. Quinton will be conducted on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Two o'clock in the afternoon in the Chapel of Olin L. Gammage & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Joey Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Northview Cemetery.

The family of Ms. Quinton will receive family and friends on Monday, September 15, 2014 from 6 o'clock until 9 o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Scotty Ward, Rodney Ward, James Edward Lipscomb, Thomas Lipscomb, Blake Lipscomb, and Terry Crawford.
