Ms. Mary Inez Pyles, age 82 of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2016. She was born on January, 23, 1934 in Polk County, GA. She was the daughter of the late Willie Mae Peek.

Ms. Pyles was the ideal pastor's wife, serving God, several local churches, and hundreds of families. She loved the families she served like her own. Her service included ministry through volunteer work at the Polk County Women's Shelter.

Ms. Pyles is preceded in death by her parents and husband Rev. Robert Pyles, sister, Allyne Miller Skinner; and brothers, Ed Jarrell, Ernest Jarrell, and Gene Jarrell.

Ms. Pyles is survived by her daughter, Vicki Owens (Dan); sons, Gene Pyles and Dennis Pyles; sister, Alta Mae Henry; 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren also survive.


The funeral service for Ms. Mary Inez Pyles will be conducted on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at eleven o'clock in the morning in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Frasier and Rev. Jimmy Shoemaker officiating.

Interment will follow in the Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery.

The family of Ms. Pyles will receive family and friends on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 from six o'clock in the evening until eight o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Robbie Pyles, Ricky Pyles, Justin Owens, Tyler Owens, Randy Bishop, and Lee Thaxton.

Ms. Pyles requested that flowers be omitted and memorial contributions be made to the Polk County Women's Shelter.
