Mary Elizabeth Penland, age 77, of Fayetteville, North Carolina passed away on August 8, 2006. She was born in Cedartown, Georgia on December 27, 1928.

She is preceded in death by four brothers, seven sisters, one son, and one daughter. She is survived by her son William Dispain, son and daughter-in-law Phillip & Glenda Dispain, Daughters Lucy Jimenez, Fran & Grady Nelson, as well as 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.

The funeral service for Mary Penland will be held at the Graveside on Sunday August 13, 2006 at 3:00 pm in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Olin L. Gammage III officiating.
