Mrs. Mary L. "Maw" Carter, age 95, of Cedartown passed away on Monday, February 5, 2007. She was born on November 26, 1911 in Polk County.

She is preceded in death by husband, William D. Carter; daughter, Mary Eloise Sexton; son, Edward L. Carter; parents, William Lee and Exie Robinson Lee; sisters, Ella L. Shiflett and Bessie L. Moody; brothers, Hiram Lee, Russell Lee, and Henry Lee.

Mrs. Carter is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dariel Franklin Carter and Raymonde M. Carter; grandchildren, Barry Carter and Tina Carter, Danny Carter and Connie Carter, Dariel Carter and Sarah Carter, Marty Carter and Carol Tillery and Ronnie Tillery; great grandchildren, Abigail Carter, Adam Carter, Jacquline Carter, Jason Carter, Michelle Miller, Tammy O'Neal and Bonnie Smith and great-great grandchildren also survive.

The graveside service for Mrs. Carter will be on Wednesday, February 7th at 11:00a.m. at the family lot at Northview Cemetery with Dr. Jerry Buttrum officiating.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 6th from 7:00p.m. until 9:00p.m. at the Olin L. Gammage & Sons Funeral Home.
