Mrs. Mary Gertrude Gilley, age 84, of Wissahickon Avenue, Cedartown passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2007 after an extended illness. She was born December 25, 1922 in Chatooga County.
She is preceded in death by husband, William Albert Gilley; sons, William Steve Gilley, Jack Albert Gilley and Dwight Lamas Gilley; parents, Ollie Parris and Jesse Brock and brother, Jalian Parris.
Mrs. Gilley is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy Haney and Jerry Haney; Shirley Worthington and Mike Worthington; Pattie Roberts and Sam Roberts and Violet Goodwin and Harold Goodwin and brother, Earl Parris. Also surviving are grandchildren, Richie Haney, Jeffry Haney, Bethany Clay, Cindy Dingler, Mikey Worthington, Chad Roberts and Jada McDowell and great grandchildren, Britt Haney, Jack Haney, Cooper Haney, Emily Haney, Carter Dingler, Caroline Dingler, Ashlyn Clay and Shelby Roberts.
The family will receive friends Thursday, April 12th from 2:00p.m. until 3:30p.m. at the Olin L Gammage & Sons Funeral Home.
The graveside service will immediately follow the visitation at Tallapoosa City Cemetery with Rev. Bill Frasier and minister James Nelson officiating.
Pallbearers are Richie Haney, Jeffrey Haney, Chad Roberts, Mikey Worthington and Van Dingler.
The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Mary Gertrude Gilley.
