Ms. Mary Emma Deems Burrell, age 88 of Cedartown, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2014. She was born on April 2, 1925 in Bartow County, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late D.B. Deems and Eunice Ferguson Deems.

Ms. Burrell is survived by her children, Wayne Hardy (Rebecca) of Rockmart, Georgia, Howard Burrell of South Carolina and Tommy Burrell of New York; daughter-in-law, Jean Reeves of Cedartown; Thu Reeves of Texas; 12 grandsons; 2 granddaughters; 18 nieces and nephews; seven great-grandsons; two great-granddaughters; three great-great-grandchildren.

Ms. Burrell is preceded in death by her parents; three husbands, Franklin Hardy, Eugene (Snap) Reeves and Joseph Burrell; sons, Richard Reeves, Paul Reeves, Charles Reeves, Freddy Reeves and James Burrell; daughters, Julia Reeves Fox, Francis Burrell and Patricia Burrell; sisters, Dora Jean Cotton, Alta Dishmon and Glenda Faye Deems and brothers, Frank Deems, James Deems, Joel Deems and Gordon Deems.

The funeral arrangements for Ms. Burrell will be conducted on Friday, February 28, 2014 at two o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Vines and Rev. Jerome Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Rockmart, Georgia with Mr. Josh Clevenger officiating.

The family of Ms. Burrell will receive family and friends on Thursday, February 27, 2014 from six o'clock in the evening until eight o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Tony Reeves, Gary Reeves, Kevin Reeves, Chad Fox, Chris Hardy, Charles Hardy, Brandon Denton and Jim Crawford.
