Ms. Mary Evans Couzzourt, age 98, of Cedartown, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2013. She was born on August 31, 1914 in Haralson County, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Melvin Evans and Mollie Welchel Evans.
Ms. Couzzourt is survived by her nieces, Melinda J. Ingram, Arlene Keeling, Sylvia Ingram, Laura Chandler, and Barbara Brannan; nephews, Nathan W. Forrister, MC Evans, Harold Evans and Nathan A. Evans and numerous great, great, great, great, great and great nieces and nephews.
Ms. Couzzourt is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Oliver Elzy Couzzourt; sisters, Alvesta Surrett, Liddell Forrister, Katie Manders; brothers, Herschel Evans, Nathan Evans and Frank Evans; nieces, Agnes Brown, Grace Williams, Mae Dell Stephens, Mary Ellen Brown, Doris Shiflett and Charlene Carter and nephews, Melvin H. Evans, Jr., JC Forrister, Jackie Evans, James Surrett, Herschel Evans, Eugene Manders, and Edward D. Forrister.
The funeral arrangements for Ms. Mary Evans Couzzourt will be conducted on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Four o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of Olin L. Gammage & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Patrick Latham officiating. Interment will follow in Northview Cemetery.
The Couzzourt family will receive family and friends on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from two o'clock in the afternoon until the funeral hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Zachary Worsham, Alex Worsham, Cole Hansard, Stephen Hansard and Daniel Carney. Honorary pallbearers are Justin Moore, James Moore, Joseph Moore, Andrew Owen and Colin Vinson
Flowers will be accepted.
