Mary Ethel Connell Bonds, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2010. She was born on October 30, 1923, in Haralson County, Georgia to the late Oscar Connell & Mary Edith Gentry Connell. She resided at Cedar Valley Nursing Home for the past 7 years.

She is survived by daughters, Janice Gilliland & E.L. (Butch) Gilliland, Sherry Kines, Carroll Hines , Regina Davis; son, Barry Bonds; sister, Hazel Peace; brother,James Connell; 11 grandchildren; 6 great- grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews; and very special friend, Grace Sparks.

She is preceded in death by sister, Lois Connell Fenley; brother, William (Bill) Connell; and son-in-law, Danny Kines.

The funeral service for Mary Ethel Connell Bonds will be conducted on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at two o'clock in the afternoon in the Chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Dr. Charles Drummond officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 26, 2010 from 7-9 o'clock in the evening at Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers Alfred Garrett, Grady Teems, Terry Smith, Ken Rabe, Michael Garner, and Dan Robinson.
