Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Chandler, age 65, of 1615 Bethlehem Rd., Rockmart, GA passed away Monday, December 27, 2004 after an extended illness. She was born November 10, 1939 daughter of Lucille Millican Hitchcock and the late Roy Farmer.

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Chandler was married to James C. Chandler and was preceded in death by him in March of this year. In addition to her father Mrs. Chandler was also preceded in death by her son Greg Norton, two daughters, Laronda Norton and Gwen Norton, and two brothers, Ronnie Farmer and Van Hitchcock.

Mrs. Chandler is survived by her children, Kim Chandler Hayth and Phillip Norton, grandchildren Cody and Hannah Hulsey, Craig Norton, Dreama Norton, Hailey and Matthew Norton and mother Lucille Hitchcock. Her surviving brother and sisters are Denny Farmer, Barbara Dawson, Joan Smith, and Cathy Short. Nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Chandler will be conducted on Thursday, December 30th at 1 pm at the Gammage Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Jeff Dabbs officiating. Interment will follow at the Antioch Church Cemtery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Dec. 29th from 6 until 8 pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Charles Hayth, Brian Farmer, Michael Farmer, Jonathan Farmer, Kenneth Dawson, and Mitchell Allen.
