Mrs. Mary Garner Branch, age 90, of Cedartown, passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2019.  She was born on January 28, 1929, in Felton, Georgia.  She was the daughter of the late Hobson John and Emma Kate Cosby Garner.

Mrs. Mary Garner Branch worked for Arrow Shirt Company for 23 years until her retirement.  Upon retirement she worked full time for the Esom Hill Post office for a number of years.  After that she stayed very active as a volunteer for the Polk County Nutrition Center in Cedartown for 25 years.  Mary was a avid supporter of the Silver Comet Trail and did not miss a chance to volunteer her time to the annual bike rides.  She was also a trail ranger, participated in local walking events usually winning her age group.  Her love for the outdoors kept her active well into her 80s.  Loved and cherished by her family and anyone that had the opportunity to know her, she is a shining example of a life well lived.

Mrs. Branch is survived by her daughters, Grace Lynett McDonald (James) , Gail Bryant (Robert) and Pam Branch; sisters, Lenna Davidson, Irma Love and Imo Stephens (Jerold); grandchildren, Jennifer Dorsey (Andrew), Janet L. Huston (Ryan) and Seth Holder; great-grandchildren, Zachary Dorsey, Robert Huston and Julie Huston; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Branch is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hal Thornton Branch; sisters, Aleita Wanda Brown, Betty Jo King, Mattie Lou Zabel and Carol Marie Stager; and brothers, Clayton Commadore Garner, John Earnest Garner and Blance Edward Garner.

The funeral arrangements for Mrs. Mary Garner Branch will be held on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at two o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Little Creek Cemetery.

The family of Mrs. Branch will receive family and friends on Saturday, February 9, 2019 from five o'clock in the evening until seven o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.
