Mrs. Mary Catheryn (Anderson) Kommer, age 84, passed away on Wednesday May 12, 2010 at Heartland of Piqua Nursing Home in Piqua, Ohio. She was born April 8, 1926 in Polk County, Georgia to the late James C. and S. Classo (Willis) Grimes.

She married Warren D. Kommer on September 22, 1973 in Piqua. She retired from the Orr Felt Company in 1988 following thirty-six years of service. She was a member of Piqua Baptist Church.

Mrs. Kommer is preceded in death by her husband, Warren D. Kommer and also by two brothers.

She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Jean (Loyd) Ervin of Piqua; three grandchildren, Craig (Lee Ann) Weer, Michael (Karen) Weer, Stephen Weer; six great grandchildren, Ben , Jacob, Emma, Ashley, Rhys, Carter; and two brothers, Clyde (Beverly) Grimes of Clayton; and Graham Grimes, Sr. of Rome, Georgia.

The funeral services for Mrs. Mary Catheryn (Anderson) Kommer will be conducted on Monday May 17, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Pastor Donald R. Wells officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
