Mrs. Mary Agnes Philpot Porter, age 84, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2006. She was born April 10, 1921 in Polk County.
Mrs. Porter was a retired school bus driver.

Mrs. Mary Agnes Porter is preceded in death by husband, Roy Lee Porter; parents, Calvin and Jenora Boyd Philpot; daughter, Glenda Porter Orbash; son, Jerry Lee Porter, Sr; sister, Thelma Jackson; brother, Jackie Philpot.

Mrs. Porter is survived by son, Roy Franklin Porter, Sr. and sisters, Maxine Cobb and Betty Ruth Boling; grandchildren, Jerry Lee Porter, Jr, Jill Coats, Lee Vaughn Orbash, Roy Franklin Porter, Jr. Terry Lynn Badd and Jason Howard Porter. Also surviving are 11 great grandchildren.

The funeral service for Mrs. Mary Agnes Porter will be conducted on Saturday, March 18th at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Dennis Morgan officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Lakeland Memorial Garden, Lakeland, Florida.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 18th from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM at the Gammage Funeral Home.
