Mr. Marvin Ledell Duncan, Sr. age 61, of Cedartown, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2009 after a valiant battle with cancer. He was born in Haralson County on July 3, 1947.

Mr. Duncan was a member of Wimberly Hill Baptist Church.

Family survivors include son, Marvin L. Duncan, Jr. and his wife, Marie; daughter, Robin Winkles; grandchildren, Blaze Winkles, Courtney Danielle Winkles and Hailey Marie Winkles of Cedartown; a special friend, Betty Jackson. Other survivors include sisters and brothers, Ludie Busby, Sudie Cumba, J. W. Duncan. Ruby Redden, Raymond Duncan, Johnny Duncan, Jimmy Duncan, Janie Duncan, Claudie Duncan, Randy Duncan, Bennie Duncan, and Nancy Babb; a vast amount of brothers- in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

He is predeceased by Parents, James and Lottie Redden Duncan and brother, R. C. Duncan.

The funeral service for Mr. Marvin L. Duncan, Sr. will be conducted on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Lawson and Rev. Dennis Morgan officiating. The interment will follow in the Live Oak Baptist Church Cemetery, Aragon.

Pallbearers are Joe Redding, John Redding, Danny Busby, Tyrone Howell, Joey Duncan, Chris Duncan, Lonnie Nale, and J. D. Nale.

The family will receive friends at Gammage Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 25th, from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m.
