Martha Moore Sisk, age 71, of Chickamauga passed away on Saturday August 8, 2009. She was born in Polk County, Georgia to the late James & Mary Thompson, and was preceded in death by her first husband, George Moore, and three brothers.

Martha retired after many years as a hair stylist, and was a member of Anchor of Hope Baptist Church in Rossville.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Sisk of Chickamauga, children, Lisa Moore of Kennesaw, GA., George (Pat) Moore of Rainsville, AL., step-children, Kim (Howell) Scott of Rock Spring, Donnie (Dana) Sisk of Ringgold, siblings, John (Barbara) Thompson of Cedartown, GA., Laudeva Willingham of Clermont, FL., Faye Gentry of Sanford, FL., 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2009 in the funeral home chapel with her nephew, Reverend Todd Thompson, and her grandson, Pastor Paul Long, officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens-South. Family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home. Charlie Whitmire, Joe Eldridge, C.L Brown, Barry Thompson, Greg Thompson, and Dennis Thompson will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are George Moore, Jr., and Bill Zimmerman.
