Margaret Murphy Weatherman, age 82, of Galax, Virginia, formly of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2010. She was born in Galax, Virginia to the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward and Mallie Kegley Murphy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Weatherman; four sisters and two brothers.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Jenny Weatherman of Cedartown; grandchildren, Kendall Lynn and Andrew Richard Weatherman; sisters, Doris Barrow of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Charlotte Rosebrook of Athens, Georgia and brothers, Robert Murphy of Sparta, North Carolina and Rex Rudolph Murphy of Clemmons, North Carolina.

The funeral service for Ms. Weatherman will be conducted on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at one o'clock in the afternoon at Mount Vale United Methodist Church, in Galax, VA with Rev. Hugh Kilgore and Mr. Pete Killon officiating.

Interment will follow in the Mount Vale Cemetery.

The family of Ms. Weatherman will receive friends on Saturday, October 9, 2010 from twelve o'clock in the afternoon until the funeral hour at Mount Vale United Mehodist Church.
