Ms. Margaret Mae Carter Swafford, age 84, of Cedartown, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2012. She was born on August 11, 1928 in Polk County. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William H. and Margaret Mae Timms Carter.

Ms. Swafford is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Terry and Butch Fincher and Rita Arnold Burgdorf; son and daughter-in-law, John Paul and Rachel Swafford; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Ms. Swafford is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Van Dewey Swafford.

The funeral arrangements for Ms. Swafford will be conducted on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at four o'clock in the afternoon in the Chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Dr. William Camp and Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating.

Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.

The family of Ms. Swafford will receive family and friends on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 from two o'clock in the afternoon until the funeral hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.

Ms. Swafford's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
