Mrs. Margaret Allen Carnes, age 84 of Cedartown, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2006. She was born on September 15, 1922 in Polk County.

She is preceded in death by her husband, W.B. Carnes and parents, Thomas Allen and Martha Allen.

Mrs. Carnes is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Ruby Anderson and Verbon Anderson and Janet Morris and Charles Morris; son, Boyd Carnes; sons and daughters-in-law; Bunyan and Sue Carnes and Bobby and Carol Carnes.

Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, November 28th at 2:00p.m. in the Chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00p.m. until 9:00p.m. at Gammage Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Mike Swindall, Terry Dentmon, Randy Womack, Jeff Crawford, Dennis Moncrief and Chad Umbarger. Honorary Pallbearers are Randy Morris, Thomas Allen and Wayne McEntire.
