Mr. Manuel J. Cruz Escutia, age 52, of Cedartown, Georgia, formally of Cuaracurio, Mexico, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2011. He was born on December 22, 1958 the son of Mr. Alfonso and Cirenia Cruz Escutia.

Mr. Escutia is survived by his wife, Margarita Carmona; daughter, Amanda Escutia; sons, Smith C. Escutia, Emanuel Escutia and Alexander Escutia; sisters, Flavia Escutia, Vertina Escutia and Lorenza Escutia and brothers, Javier Escutia, Mauro Escutia, Esteban Escutia and Sotero Escutia.

The funeral services for Mr. Escutia will be conducted on Friday, February 4, 2011 at six o'clock in the evening at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Cedartown and Saturday, February 5, 2011 at twelve o'clock (noon) in the afternoon at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints in Cedartown. On Saturday, February 5, 2011 the body will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral hour.

The family of Mr. Escutia will receive friends on Thursday, February 3, 2011 from twelve o'clock in the afternoon until nine o'clock in the evening at the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home.

Mr. Escutia will return in Cuaracurio, Mexico for burial.
