Ms. Mamie Florence Samples, age 90, of Cedartown, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2012. She was born on December 24, 1921 in Polk County. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Hugh Samples and Mattie Fordham Samples.

She retired from Goodyear Mills in Cedartown.

Ms. Samples is survived by her nieces and nephews, Terry English, Tammy Chastain, Tony Samples, Tracy Samples, and Barry McDonald.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Irene McDonald; and brothers, Jerry Samples and Barney Samples.

The funeral service for Ms. Samples will be conducted on Monday, March 19, 2012 at four o'clock in the afternoon in the Gammage Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Forrister officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Ms. Samples family will receive family and friends on Sunday, March 18, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home.
