Mrs. Magdalene Pledger Tanner, age 93, of Cedartown, GA passed away on Friday, August 24, 2012. She was born on December 7, 1918. She was the daughter of the late Collie Pledger and Bertha Pittman Pledger Foster.

Mrs. Tanner is survived by her daughters, Ann Shaw (Dual), Janice Gable; son, Harold Tanner (Carolyn); sisters, Frances Edge, Sue Groves, Faye Moore; brother, James Foster; grandchildren, Anita Floyd (Gordon), Charity Wallace (Barry), Rebecca Ledbetter (Craig), Teresa Meade (Bruce), Christopher Shaw (Rachel), Michele Boutte, Melinda Gable; great grandchildren, Tanner Ledbetter, Will Ledbetter, Jessica Estes, Katie Meade, Kellie Meade, B.J. Meade, Steve Meade, Lafe Meade; great great grandchildren, Kimberly Meade, Addison Meade, Leslie Meade, Brooklyn Meade; caregivers, Margie Bell, Angie Hutto, Marie Woolum; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Tanner is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Uzeal Tanner.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, August 26, 2012 from 2 o'clock to 4 o'clock at the Olin L Gammage and Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held in the Chapel beginning at 4 o'clock with Rev. Barry McCullough officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.

Billy Groves, James Edge, Richard Johnson, Craig Ledbetter, Gordon Floyd, Matt Foster, Zack Foster, and Barry Wallace will serve as pallbearers.
