Obituary

Mrs. Mae Bright McAdams, age 96, of Cedartown, Georgia passed away Sunday, February 8, 2009. She was born in Cleburne County, AL on August 1, 1912, the daughter of the late Ella Upchurch Bright and Tom Bright.

Mrs. McAdams was a member of First Apostolic Church of Cedartown.

She and her late husband, Frank Evans, were owners of Evans Drive-In, a popular eating establishment during the 1950's on South Main Street in Cedartown.

She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Frank Evans; second husband, J.B. McAdams; Sisters, Jessie Bright, Flora Kight, and Dorothy Dill; and brother, Elbert Bright.

Mrs. McAdams is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Sylvia and Donald Ingram; Son and Daughter-in-law, Jack and Mildred Evans; Sisters, Ruby Yates, Eddie Thomason, and Joyce Ivey; Two Grandchildren, Tybee and wife Denise Evans, and Sheryl and husband Mike Silva; and Three Great-grandchildren, Sanibel Evans, Jesse Brownlee, and James Brownlee.

The funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, February 11th, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Rev. Curtis Heyward officiating. The interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 10th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home.
